WHAT IS A COMPANY CONSTITUTION?
A company is characterized as a legal entity, consisting of one or more businessmen, partners or shareholders, aiming at profit. An entrepreneur is considered to be someone who professionally carries out an organized economic activity for the production or circulation of goods or services.
ARE YOU A FOREIGNER AND WANT TO INVEST IN PORTUGAL?
The principle that guides the Portuguese regulatory framework is that of non-discrimination in investment based on nationality, so we have no restrictions on the entry of foreign capital. In this sense, it is not mandatory to have a national partner, nor are there any limitations on the distribution of profits or dividends abroad; there is no requirement for any special registration or notification to any authority; and the regulations governing foreign investment are similar to those applicable to domestic investment. However, holders of a shareholding in a Portuguese company who are not resident in Portugal will, for tax purposes, have to obtain a Portuguese tax identification number (NIF).

COMMON QUESTIONS
Theoretically it is not mandatory, but you will need a tax number (NIF) to open a company in Portugal. And if you are not a European citizen, you must necessarily have a visa to stay in Portugal. Or appoint an individual or entity resident in Portugal for the purposes of representation before the Portuguese tax authorities.
Depending on the type of company you want to open in Portugal, the process may be faster or a little slower. Whether for the incorporation of a company in the traditional way or for the acquisition of a company that already exists in the market, we provide the legal, financial, economic and social support necessary to evaluate all the available alternatives, thus eliminating the occurrence of future surprises.
The answer is positive. If you already have a company in another country, you can extend it to Portugal. This can occur both through the opening of a branch or even a branch, for example.
